What You Will Do:

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist, High School will primarily be responsible for enhancing relationships in High Schools within an assigned territory, conducting presentations in classrooms, participating in outreach activities to build the pool of applicants to the university, and managing prospective students through the enrollment process up to starting school and throughout the first term. Provides comprehensive, quality and highly informed service to students to assist them in making a commitment to their education and career goals.

Essential Responsibilities
    Build relationships with high school counselors and administrators to represent National Louis University with a high degree of professionalism. An account management approach is taken to ensure all appropriate stakeholders understand what NLU offers and the students who can be successful in our programs
  • Conducts presentations to groups of students and attends a variety of outreach activities to represent the university to a wide population of potential incoming freshman
  • Manages a prospect after prequalification. Provides complete guidance for prospective students interested in enrolling in any of the University's programs. Consults and coordinates communications with Admissions, Student Finance and Advising by gathering any necessary information needed to successfully guide prospects through the entire enrollment process. Builds a solid rapport and remains as an available liaison for ongoing communications
  • Accurately documents and records continuous contact using the CRM system with each prospective student/returning student and tracks information to ensure smooth transition of applicant data. Produces activity reports as needed
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding the offerings, programs, services etc. of all the Colleges. In addition, remains continuously knowledgeable, informed, and connected with the process surrounding enrollment
  • Handles the more promising leads and/or conducts the higher converting outbound calls to select channels, successfully converting leads and generating further referrals. Will record interactions, track and document information, answer more complex questions, and then ultimately guide prospects through the registration process
  • Works collaboratively with the University community to ensure a seamless and positive enrollment experience
  • Other related project as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Effective communication skills to manage and control a high volume of outbound calls
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle pressure professionally
  • Works well within a team environment while achieving personal goals
  • Excellent and professional verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Active listening skills to ascertain prospective student need and expectations.
  • A passion for working with young people to inspire them about their futures, utilizing sales skills and customer service skills to add excitement and focus into what can be a challenging process for students
  • Applicants from all areas will be considered, but priority territories are Chicago-North, Chicago-SW, Suburban-W
  • Fluent in Spanish is helpful, but not required
