General Summary
The Analyst, Capital Finance will provide support for several boundary partners, including procurement, network operations, finance and engineering through financial reporting and variance analysis, annual planning and capital forecasts, and frequent ad hoc analysis.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provide monthly capital spend and efficiency results analysis, support to finance, engineering and operations team to close performance gaps or highlight operational deficiencies.
  • Synthesize data from various sources, provide useful business insights, recommendations and reporting packages.
  • Work closely with cross-functional groups and levels of management on development and analysis of capital spend and activation.
  • Prepare presentations for management outlining key business drivers and cost benefit analysis.
  • Complete comprehensive quarterly rate and vendor discount audit.
  • Perform various financial analyses and assists in preparation of business and strategic plans.
  • Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Follow, support, and enforce all Company standard procedures, policies, and safety practices while performing work activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar undergraduate degree required.
  • 3-5 years of work experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel; other analytical tools such as SQL, R, or Python, or other analytical tools are a plus.
  • Familiarity with GAAP Accounting standards, including the ability to understand and interpret the income statement.
  • Self-starter who is solution oriented and has a growth mindset.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels, from senior management to first-line employees.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with other functional areas.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; analytical problem solver.
  • Willing to work beyond normal work hours due to operational demands, as needed.
  • Travel is required at a 5% +/- level
Working Conditions
  • Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
  • Work may require weekend and/or evening work..
  • Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear on a regular basis. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
