They did however talk me into a warranty, even though I went in knowing I didn't want it. I ended up canceling it a week later anyway. The car is clean, and seems to run great. The price was decent and there weren't hidden fees. They gave me a full tank of gas to drive home with since I live far away. I made the mistake of forgetting to check if all the windows worked before buying it. One window needed a new run regulator and channel, which they fixed for free. I was told they would give me a tank of gas for needing to come back twice (6 hours of driving total), which they didn't follow through with, but I do really appreciate that they fixed everything for no cost. Overall, it was a great car shopping experience, especially when compared to other places I tried. I am very happy with my purchase and feel good about buying from Thornton. Thanks! ”

“ We live in North Carolina and we were looking for a used Toyota Tundra 1794 with the V8 engine preferably a 2021 model. My husband and I spent several days searching the web to find one close to where we lived. My husband found one at Thornton Automotive that he really liked, but it was an 8 hour drive for us, so we kept looking. After much searching my husband decided to call Thornton Automotive to check on this truck. He talked to George and Wes who answered all of his questions. He called them numerous times that week, and they were always happy to answer any questions he had. Wes assured us that we would not be disappointed in this truck. We were sent an ipacket which gave us a lot of helpful information about the truck. They included an online owners manual. We had pictures to look at. They even sent us a video they did just for us to prove the mirrors folded in. So we decided to make the 8 hour drive to look at this truck and, decide if this was what we were looking for. While at the dealership they were so nice and helpful. We test drove it for an hour and checked it over carefully. Everything we had been told was exactly spot on. The truck was in pristine condition. It literally looked like a brand new truck. On top of their help with all truck related things they were ordering lunch out that day, and offered to order lunch for us and wouldn't let us pay for our lunch. They filled the truck up with gas before we left (38gal capacity). They made it so easy to get all the paperwork done. They explained everything we needed to do when we got back to NC which was very helpful. Needless to say we were very impressed with Thornton Automotive. If you are considering buying a vehicle here, I can tell you that our experience with them proved that they are 100% trustworthy. Everything they told us over the phone was truthful. “ I just wanted to take a moment and offer a compliment to your service department, specifically Lyle. Over the weekend, I began the process of changing the oil in my '22 4Runner that we purchased there about a year ago. An oil change was performed there some time ago, leading to me discovering that the oil filter casing had been over tightened by one of the service techs at that time. During the oil change that I was attempting, the case, which is of poor design as it is made from plastic, broke, resulting in a leak. I called and spoke with Lyle and explained the problem.
