JOB REQUIREMENTS: KI Bonduel is currently looking for a skilled welder to join our team. Our welders are responsible for MIG welding parts as specified in weld prints. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks ranging from operation of robotic welders, benders, and saws. May perform brazing operations and spot weld. Technicians are responsible for loading material into various machines to join components. Inspect completed metal workpieces to ensure consistent quality product in a fast paced environment This is a first shift position. The hours are primarily 6am-2pm Monday-Friday with the opportunity for overtime during peak production (summer months). Successful applicants will be at least 18 years of age, have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and have previous welding experience in a manufacturing setting. Must be able to read blueprints and shop orders. Welding certification is plus. Successful completion of a drug screen will be required. KI is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations. Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment. Clean or degrease parts, using wire brushes, portable grinders, or chemical baths. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. Cut, contour, and bevel metal plates and structural shapes to dimensions as specified by blueprints, layouts, work orders, and templates, using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knives. Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors. Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required. Operate brazing and soldering equipment. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material. Operate metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, such as brakes and shears. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Know how to read shop orders and open orders Good hand/eye coordination Ability to work on feet for a minimum of 10 hours per day/4 days per week.
