Human Resources Coordinator
We are hiring for a HR Coordinator to join our team. As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the HR department in various administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of HR processes, and supporting employees with their HR-related needs. This is a dynamic role that requires exceptional communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining HR records, scheduling interviews, and preparing HR documents.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening and shortlisting candidates, conducting reference checks, and coordinating interviews.
  • Onboard new employees, including conducting orientations and collecting necessary paperwork.
  • Assist in the implementation and coordination of training and development initiatives, including organizing and scheduling training sessions.
  • Support employees with HR-related queries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including tracking and monitoring performance evaluations and providing data and reports as required.
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable HR laws and regulations.
  • Execute weekly payroll by collecting and verifying time keeping information, including paid time off, timely payments of payroll liabilities - payroll taxes, child support, garnishments, workers compensation, 401k contributions, and benefit premiums.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, deductions, job title and department changes or transfers.
  • Investigates and resolves any discrepancies in payroll.
  • Assist in preparation of offer letters and coordinate employment background screen and pre-employment drug testing for new hires and determine employment eligibility based on results.
  • Establish connection with local trade schools, colleges/universities and other community-based organizations.
  • Document and process changes including new hires, separations, salary actions, supervisor changes, location changes etc. accurately and timely to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Prepare security badges and coordinate lunches.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs, including properly escalating issues to HR Manager.
  • Assist in the administration and communication of the annual employee benefits, incentives and gift programs.
  • Respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Maintain employee communication boards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role.
  • Experience in payroll.
  • Experience in recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
