Title: Accounting Manager, Hybrid
Location: New Brunswick, NJ area
Salary: $165 - 175k base plus bonus
Overview
Highly visible Accounting Manager role with opportunity for advancement. Position reports directly to the CFO. 7-10 years of accounting experience desired. CPA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and laws.
- Implement necessary updates to accounting policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and mitigate financial risks.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance to develop their performance.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
- Communicate financial data and explain insights to senior management.
- Coordinate and assist in external audits, and preparation of audit schedules.
- Ensure audit readiness and assist in resolving audit findings.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implementation of accounting software solutions.
- Serve as a liaison, providing financial information and analysis to support cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
