The Strategic Account Manager provides the business commercial results and delivers excellent management and leadership to Tube Supply. The Strategic Account Manager will also be responsible for leading the overall global success of the strategic accounts and full accountability for given account inventory/asset management, order processing & customer satisfaction. A successful individual will demonstrate the ability to work in quality assurance, safety and profitability.
Primary Duties:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in the office.
- Visit customer's main point of contact with intent to develop and maintain existing strategic relationships
- Direct accountability for given accounts, sales, margins, overhead cost ratios, contribution to profi and working capital on a quarterly forecasted basis to support achievement of annual plan and goals
- Grow given account revenue by bringing new business outlets within the existing customer and new customers
- Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestone for a one- and three-year period
- Analyze the end segment markets, maintaining market intelligence and identify alternative value propositions
- Support Director of Sales in marketing initiatives for the company
- Manage contract inventory and asset management, ensuring optimization and balance
- Review contract sales orders for appropriate pricing structure and utilization of inventory
- Oversees coordination with key customers in credit, operations, quality, logistics and inventory requirements to improve service and sales levels
- Develop annual business plans for assigned accounts, collaborates with the Director of Sales for appropriate alignment and integration of goals and plans
- Collaborates with the Director of Sales to develop and implement creative sales techniques to increase sales volume to support the company
- Ensure the compliance documentation needed to keep strategic accounts up to date in joint with external legal team
- Support upper management in overall people's high performance, bench and succession planning, consistent mentoring, and employee development
- Supports research to evaluate impact of new or proposed law and regulation that could affect the company
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Business, International Commerce, or Economics.
- MSA or MBA is Business related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ successful and progressive leadership experience in a metals or metals distribution environment.
- Experience managing P&L and demonstrated track record of profitability and continuous improvement in, warehouse or steel distribution environment.
- Traveling domestic and international for business purposes
- Accountability to meet and exceed goals.

- Demonstrated sales skills with strong achievement orientation.
- Ability to multitask effectively and partner with other departments for results.
- Strong analytical skills, creativity, strategic capabilities.
