We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of HSE Data and AI Analyst within our HSE Systems group based in Houston, TX.
- Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI):
- Consult with HSE leaders and stakeholders on the design of generative AI summaries, chatbots, and maintain a roadmap of HSE AI activities.
- Leverage generative AI techniques to enhance safety protocols, risk assessments, and incident prevention strategies.
- Explore innovative ways to apply AI techniques to HSE data.
- Create engaging reports and dashboards to inform our workforce of safety hazards relevant to job tasks.
- Data Extraction and Mining:
- Perform data extraction from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and software systems.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within HSE data.
- Validate data accuracy and completeness.
- Design and propose data quality improvement techniques and processes.
- Statistical Analysis and Modeling:
- Utilize statistical techniques to analyze safety incidents, environmental metrics, and health-related data.
- Develop leading indicator models to identify potential safety hazards and opportunities to improve safety performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret findings and recommend actionable solutions.
- Software Proficiency:
- Proficiently use SQL, R, and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Familiarity with PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools for creating engaging dashboards and reports.
- Continuously research and apply new and innovative technology to health and safety data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis is required with a preferred focus in an HSE context.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, R, Python, and statistical modeling.
- Familiarity with generative AI techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
