Job Summary
Under general direction guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and under the direction of the practice manager or supervisor, the Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients in the Orthopedics Department. At this level, s/he will be assigned to various practices and will be expected to function as a regular staff member in those assignments, with the ability to work the 'front and back' positions. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures including assuring positive care outcomes S/he will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the primary and specialty care services provided to patients within the practice. S/he is required to adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center Staff.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $35.92 - $35.92 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 1-2 yrs. of experience as a Hospital Assistant.
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
