Skills

• Proficiency in DCS/PLC control system design and programming (i.e., DeltaV, Experion, 800xA)
• Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design (i.e., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens)
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to perform system design calculations and analysis
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement DCS/PLC control systems to meet process requirements
• Develop documentation including Theory/Description of operation and detailed control system design
• Conduct system design calculations and analyses
• Interface with facility design to optimize panel location and maintenance
• Assist with start-up and debugging of integrated systems
• Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding lower-level engineers and technicians
• Manage smaller projects, ensuring deadlines and project scope are met

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (related experience may substitute for degree)
• 5+ years of experience in Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, and DCS programming preferred
• Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design required
• Previous experience with AutoCAD desired
• Knowledge of contract documents, specifications, and system design functions
