We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineer in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for managing controls engineering project requirements, including control system design, DCS/PLC programming, control panel design, instrumentation, check-out support, and start-up assistance. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment and effectively communicate with engineers, designers, and drafters.

Skills
- Proficiency in DCS/PLC control system design and programming (i.e., DeltaV, Experion, 800xA)
- Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design (i.e., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to perform system design calculations and analysis
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office environments
- Design, develop, and implement DCS/PLC control systems to meet process requirements
- Develop documentation including Theory/Description of operation and detailed control system design
- Conduct system design calculations and analyses
- Interface with facility design to optimize panel location and maintenance
- Assist with start-up and debugging of integrated systems
- Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding lower-level engineers and technicians
- Manage smaller projects, ensuring deadlines and project scope are met
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (related experience may substitute for degree)
- 5+ years of experience in Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, and DCS programming preferred
