We are a leading naval architecture and marine engineering firm known for our innovative consulting services and cutting-edge design work. We are seeking a Senior Marine Engineer to work on a range of vessels, from recreational boats to U.S. government crafts. As a Senior Marine Engineer, you will play a key role in driving forward our projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and applying the latest technologies and creative solutions to help our clients meet their goals. This is a unique opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and develop creative, practical solutions for design challenges.
  • Assist Project Managers in boat and vessel design, providing technical expertise to meet client needs.
  • Adhere to and improve Engineering Standards and Procedures to ensure top-tier quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to document and solve complex design challenges.
  • Provide onsite engineering services to US Navy Combatant Craft Division (Code 83) at Little Creek Amphibious Base.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in marine engineering with a focus on small craft design.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, practices, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Rhino.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees in Marine Engineering or related fields.
  • Shipyard or boatyard experience.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
