We are seeking a Senior Marine Engineer to work on a range of vessels, from recreational boats to U.S. government crafts. As a Senior Marine Engineer, you will play a key role in driving forward our projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and applying the latest technologies and creative solutions to help our clients meet their goals. Primary Responsibilities:- Perform detailed engineering calculations and develop creative, practical solutions for design challenges.
- Assist Project Managers in boat and vessel design, providing technical expertise to meet client needs.
- Adhere to and improve Engineering Standards and Procedures to ensure top-tier quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to document and solve complex design challenges.
- Provide onsite engineering services to US Navy Combatant Craft Division (Code 83) at Little Creek Amphibious Base.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in marine engineering with a focus on small craft design.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, practices, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Rhino.
- Strong skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees in Marine Engineering or related fields.
- Shipyard or boatyard experience.
- Professional Engineering License.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
