Target Salary = $100-110,000K + up to 20% annual bonus


Summary


Manage the overall facility quality assurance initiative. Provide technical expertise to internal and external personnel in physical and metallurgical properties of processes and products that affect product quality. Work to continuously improve the processes and product.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) including all quality work instructions, forms, procedures (Plant ISO/AAR and Engineering Lab ISO 17025 and A2LA) documentation
  • Serve as the Management Representative (MR) for external quality audits and report to corporate QA on the condition of the QMS
  • Assist in developing training materials, work instructions, quality manuals, and other documentation to train employees on equipment and best practices
  • Investigate internal quality non-conformances and all customer complaints regarding product quality and work with cross-functional teams, conduct failure mode analyses to determine root cause
  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement efforts and projects
  • Lead internal auditing teams and provide guidance to internal audit team members
  • Coordinate and schedule QMS Management Review meetings and maintain reports
  • Develop process control charts and train operators on their use
  • Assist with product specification development through design and execution of process capability studies
  • Conduct and evaluate metallurgical failure analyses to determine root cause of product failures
  • Assist Supply Chain personnel with vendor PPAP approval of products.
  • Maintain web-based quality systems and quality score card metrics (AIMS, Gage Track, and BIQ)


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, or related field and work experience leading the quality initiative in a manufacturing firm
  • Five years of previous experience in a quality leadership role
  • Experience leading Kaizen Initiatives and solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • ISO quality management systems certification (CQE) a plus
  • Failure mode analysis experience
  • Experience with statistical process control methodologies
