This opportunity entails being responsible for participation in all phases of project development including full technical support of the architecture as well as incorporation of all disciplines involved with the design. Serves as a resource to the designer and project manager as the design is developed. The role includes serving as the lead technical architect on large sized projects.

What You'll Do:

  1. Develop and present lead technical viewpoint on assigned projects. Ensure that a technical solution, consistent with the program and design is properly developed and produced.
  2. Work closely with the project designer and manager in planning and implementing all work processes. Develop and implement internal controls for all team members assigned to a project. Monitor and supervise development of contract documents.
  3. Promote the implementation and enforcement of BIM and design technology standards, best practices, and project team workflows.
  4. Have overall responsibility for coordination with sub-consultants in implementation of quality assurance and quality control checks. Responsible for all project work planning and scheduling.
  5. Serve as subject matter expert on architectural projects of the largest size.
  6. Promote firm culture within and outside the practice.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of practice-wide technical and delivery standards.
  8. Participate in market sector leadership initiatives.
  9. Attend industry-based conferences and events to promote the firm.
  10. May mentor earlier to mid-career staff.
  11. Provide input on recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff, including performance and compensation reviews, and succession planning. Coordinate schedules and approve timecards. Aid in establishing employees' objectives and provide feedback while coaching and mentoring their team.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 10 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

  1. Advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
  2. Skills in computational design, or other emerging technologies.
  3. Demonstrated technical ability and leadership skills.
  4. Patience and ability to mentor and develop others.
  5. Knowledge of architectural products and systems.
  6. Understanding of building codes.
  7. Knowledgeable in current and emerging tools including Autodesk Revit, cloud file sharing/collaboration, complex 3D modeling, and visualization.
  8. Knowledgeable in current accessibility and sustainability codes and standards.

What We Prefer:

Prior experience leading/managing large, complex projects.
