Job Title: Data Analyst/Developer

Location: Boston, MA/Hybrid ( Local Only from MA, NH or RI)

Duration: 6 Months with a possible extension

Must be fully vaccinated for consideration.

Paid 37.5 Hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) seeks a Data Analyst who will be responsible for assessing data in various systems that support the Home Improvement Contractor registrations and renewals process, the enforcement program, the arbitration program, and the Guaranty Fund. The Data Analyst is expected to interact with the business stakeholder and technical application development resources and a third-party integrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders to conduct business, data, metadata, and technology analysis, identifying data/metadata anomalies, data cleansing, and analysis.
  2. Design and execute data testing plans to assure that data meets quality standards, combining data elements from various resources and evaluating data quality.
  3. Maintain records of time spent on assigned tasks and provide information for project management and other administrative purposes.
  4. Develop and modify moderately complex information.
  5. Analyze data and user needs, document requirements, and recommend quality improvement efforts.

Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented analytical Data Analyst to support our data-driven systems migration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistics, and programming, along with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of data manipulation, analysis, and visualization techniques.
  2. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis and manipulation.
  3. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Knowledge of Salesforce and data mapping and migration strategies.
