Job Description BAE Systems, a global leader in the defense industry, is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst based in Radford, VA.
You will support the Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business’s modernization portfolio, which includes a variety of construction, sustainment, and retrofit projects.
You will support the group and management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects varying from contract types, sizes, and complexities.

Full-Time Salary Range: $87700 - $149100
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

You will support the group and management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects varying from contract types, sizes, and complexities.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with program management/operations on assigned projects
- Track all assigned project creation, expenditures, and closeouts
- Handle revenue recognition
- Support month-end closing activities
- Prepare monthly CSR’s and coordinate monthly meetings with each PM to review program financial data
- Complete monthly account reconciliations
- Support weekly salient flash updates
- Complete all project accounting self-assessments
- Support internal audit & financial control framework testing
- Prepare and report QBR and IBP salient forecasts and enter forecast data into Hyperion
- Assist with completion of risks and opportunities charts
- Support proposal processes
- Support other ad hoc analysis, projects, and/or data requests
- Apply cost accounting standards and federal acquisition regulation knowledge to assignments
- Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
- Develop desktop procedures and lead process improvement initiatives
- Learn company business to provide maximum value
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of related work experience or equivalent experience
- Ability to support Program Finance, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Ability to provide analytics and reporting to support leadership decision-making
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
- MS Office/Excel skills
- Graduate Degree a plus
- Experience in Defense/Government Contracting a plus
- Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) a plus
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) a plus
- Experience in Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) a plus
- Experience in Hyperion a plus
