The Sales Manager is responsible for trading ingredients in either Food, Petfood or Industrial applications. You play a part in bringing out new products in the American region. As an entrepreneur, you know how to motivate yourself, whereby you creatively seek new customers in markets across the America. An occasional cold call or knocking on a door will not make you nervous.
As an avid learner, you enjoy working closely with colleagues that speed up your trading knowledge learning curve. You have an eagerness to build a rewarding career with the company.
Confidence and assertiveness come second nature in your day-to-day work as you build on existing clientele and reel in new customers with creative sales strategies.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Marketing and sales of the total product portfolio in your region
- First contact person for all communication and business in your region
- Leading and growing the business in your region
- Exploring new business opportunities for the company and hunt for new leads
- Proactively communicate with your global peers and foreign offices
- Build a strong and amicable working relationship with your peers in all seven foreign offices and share market information that can help the team
- Research, read and follow crop news, as well as analyse competitor information
- Regular face-to-face contact with your clients and 25%+ travel time annually
- Dedicated to solving client issues

Profile
- Bachelor or Master diploma
- 3-5 years of sales experience in ingredients and knowledge of building supply chains
- Proven track record of prospecting and developing new clientele and experience in selling and/or sourcing ingredients
- Ability to manage projects or a product category will be an advantage
- Clear communicator with a winner’s attitude and hard-worker's mentality with belief in teamwork
- Entrepreneur who can handle freedom responsibly
- A problem solver at heart with a positive mindset
