Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead our HR function and drive our people initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing HR operations within the financial services sector, with expertise in payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, learning and development (L&D), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), and onboarding processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be instrumental in shaping our HR strategy, fostering a culture of excellence, and supporting the growth and development of our talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the firm's business objectives and values.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, compensation management, and HRIS maintenance.
- Lead employee relations efforts to promote a positive and inclusive work environment, resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns effectively.
- Design and execute learning and development programs to enhance employee skills, foster career growth, and drive employee engagement.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, partnering with leadership to create an inclusive workplace culture where all employees feel valued and empowered.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HR and employment law, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to understand talent needs and develop effective recruitment and retention strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with external vendors, consultants, and industry partners to support HR initiatives and optimize resources.
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR certifications preferred.
