As a consultant or senior consultant, you’ll be hired into our Healthcare Consulting Pool consisting of four Divisions (Strategy & Enterprise Growth, Payer Strategy & Contracting, Health System Performance, and Medical Group Optimization) and be part of a team that offers a comprehensive suite of innovative, yet practical, solutions to address the most complex and high-stakes challenges that impact national healthcare.

As a consultant or senior consultant at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our consulting team. Your Responsibilities May Include:

  • Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations.
  • Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews.
  • Leading information-gathering efforts.
  • Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Defining project analyses and deliverables.
  • Communicating project progress and seeking input.
  • Developing deeper technical expertise.
  • Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
  • Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
  • Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect your personal and professional interests.
  • Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
  • Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and your personal life.
  • Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.

Our Expectations of You:

  • Graduating with the class of 2025 with a master’s degree in business administration and/or a health-related field.
  • Three or more years of applicable professional experience prior to graduate school (e.g., healthcare consulting and/or hospital administration or operations) or a strong business background in strategic operations, finance, or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Track record of strong client service.
  • Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Job Locations:

Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Diego, Seattle, or Washington, DC. Locations may be limited based on the needs of the Division.

Schedule:

Full time/exempt.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $110,000 - $138,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG’s pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG’s benefit plans, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and other wellness programs.
