A growing engineering firm is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to independently lead design tasks for transportation projects in its Cincinnati, OH office. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of planning documents, engineering plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for various transportation projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory bodies, and permitting agencies.
  • Contribute to the growth of the firm’s Ohio transportation project portfolio by developing client relationships.
  • Prepare sections of transportation project proposals, change orders, and client contracts, and communicate project details effectively.
  • Create transportation designs that adhere to the latest design standards.
  • Conduct research and develop preliminary reports and feasibility studies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Passing the Professional Engineering (PE) exam is preferred.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience, ideally in public sector work.
  • Proficiency in the following software:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Adobe or Bluebeam
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
