Overview:
Asset Manager II Responsibilities:
The Asset Manager II will be responsible to work with a set of Bernhard customers to review energy usage and strategies in order to implement the best practices. This will include directly managing the O&M of the CEP for the campus, working with, and mentoring the owner’s staff on the O&M and energy usage of multiple facilities as part of a greater campus effort.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include:
Reviewing of energy usage on a daily basis for the facility and providing guidance, best practices, and modifications of current operations.
Mentoring the owner on energy strategies.
Managing the Central Energy Plant Operation and Maintenance including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
Managing the Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP.
Working with the operators to ensure the plant operates efficiently.
Performing ongoing training of the Plant Operators.
Developing and maintaining the Plant Operating Manual.
Assisting the Bernhard EPC team with the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations.
Coordinating on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with the remote support services team.
This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to a higher-level Asset Manager or Director.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
3-4 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant, or 3-4 years of management experience in a central plant or facility.
Well versed in building codes and associated standards.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET Accredited Program).
FE preferred.
Travel Requirements:
0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
Climbing stairs.
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Noisy environment.
Quiet environment.
Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Pay Range:
USD $80,000.00 - USD $(phone number removed) /Yr.
