Summary:
The OCM Director will lead change projects, involving people in the change process, planning communication strategies, handling challenges, setting up training, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with the RUSH mission and goals. This role will partner with project leadership and assist with the development of an adoption strategy for the Workday solution across the RUSH system. This role will require being able to clearly articulate change impacts to RUSH employees and on how to use the Workday application. They will be responsible for ensuring that changes are smoothly and successfully implemented to achieve lasting benefits. The OCM Director will report directly to the Senior Director, Strategy and Planning.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, change management, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years of Workday experience in organizational change management preferably for an academic medical center, healthcare provider or higher education environment.
  • Deep understanding of Workday applications coupled with exceptional change management skills, and a strong ability to design and deliver effective communication and training programs to ensure successful user adoption and ongoing engagement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide teams through change.
  • Experience with ERP platforms, such as Workday, and leading transformational change initiatives.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Research Grant Management, and Philanthropy Management systems.
  • Knowledgeable in Prosci change management or similar transformation methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing business process compliance teams and ensuring SOX, Security, Legal, and EU Data Privacy compliance.
  • Experience with global and domestic implementation of cloud HCM and Financials Transformational ERP platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies aligned with the RUSH and D&IS vision and transformation goals.
  • Lead and support change initiatives, ensuring that business processes, systems, and technology changes are adopted and utilized effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of changes and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Design and deliver communication plans to inform all stakeholders of change initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in alignment with change initiatives.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of change management activities and make adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct impact assessments to understand the effects of process change on stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior leadership to reinforce change and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Partner with RUSH’s employee experience team.
  • Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques.
  • Execute an effective change champion program for organizational readiness during implementation and continue building a sustainable change program post-go live.
  • Proactively mitigate risks working with the project leadership and governance structure. Utilizes previous ERP implementation expertise to determine the impact on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Works with business operations teams to ensure good coordination of D&IS changes without impacting business processes.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with other D&IS leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of D&IS services to meet those needs and can respond with agility to changing business priorities.
  • Maintains standard operating procedure accountability, quality assurance and adherence to all processes.
