Position Details:
We have an immediate need for a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience. The position will present the opportunity to work on a variety of projects both in scale and type. Candidates must possess good communication and organization skills and be able to work well in a team environment. A successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and progress in their career. Essential job responsibilities will include:
- Provide mentoring and training to EI’s and other professionals.
- Review and seal construction drawings.
- Prepare contract documents and serve as owner’s representative during permitting and construction phases.
- Communicate with Owners, Developers, and Regulatory Officials on project matters.
- Attend planning board and design review meetings with regulatory agencies.
- Prepare detailed design calculations and perform peer reviews for those calculations prepared by others.
- Prepare permit packages for local municipalities, NCDEQ, NCDOT, US ACOE and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Prepare project proposals and respond to RFQs.
- Coordinate work efforts of project teams as well as civil designers and drafters.
- Provide reports and correspondence for projects including Environmental Assessments, responses to regulatory review comments, alternative analysis and Preliminary Engineering Reports.
- Manage Projects including scheduling, budgets, billing, and appropriate client interaction.
- Provide construction admin for projects including review and pay request, coordination of shop drawings review, conducting progress meetings, conflict resolution, response to meetings, conflict resolutions, response to RFIs, coordination of inspection services, contract administration.
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.
