The Player Experiences and Platforms engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build Game Pass experiences and bring new end-to-end features to the Xbox app for PC.
In your role, you will work with a diverse team of engineers, defining end-to-end user experiences, architecture, performance targets, and technology investments to help drive subscriber engagement and growth in the PC ecosystem. We’re using React Native on Windows to enable cross-product code-sharing. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive features and infrastructure within that stack.
Your experience will enable our teams to be efficient and effective when developing new features. You will be working closely with your engineering team, product management, and design. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to projects with execution and partner with individuals on your team, providing a positive environment for technical and career growth.

- Feature area design and implementation and delivering your projects through execution.
- Ideate, scope, and drive implementation as well as validation.
- Implementing new features and improving existing ones.
- Partnering with peer teams on both client and services to effectively communicate requirements, define objectives, share technology, and contribute to the growth of our engineering team, through shared knowledge of our tech stacks and development processes.
- Collaborate with your peers to build real-time data monitoring and alerting signals to know the health of features in customers' hands, when critical errors happen, and when critical dependencies fail.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, React, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, or XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language) OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of software development experience building end-user applications.
- Experience driving design and architecture across the product codebase.
- Experience using real time data signals to monitor and alert on product health.
Preferred Qualifications
- A passion for bringing end user experiences to a gaming audience and an understanding of their needs.
- 3+ years of experience building user experiences on PC or Mobile.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
