Reporting into a US Rare Disease West Divisional General Manager, Commercial, the US Rare Disease Strategic Account Director, Commercial assumes the commercial leadership role for assigned key accounts, providing overall account leadership, including developing and executing account plans, as well as coaching to cross-functional team members.

This role, in partnership with their Medical Strategic Account Co-Director, will identify and qualify opportunities within their accounts and develop and drive growth strategies, team-to-team alignment and executive relationships together with cross-functional team members.

This role will function as a player/coach and will be the central focal point for commercial communications regarding account planning, strategy, collaboration, resource allocation and customer engagement.

Main responsibilities:

  • Hone a deep understanding of key customers and their needs, strategically developing and co-creating tailored solutions.
  • Responsible for 5 therapeutic areas, 7 brands and building account specific plans.
  • Collaborate and develop a strong partnership with Medical Strategic Account Co-Director.
  • Oversee and coach Strategic Account Managers within set geography of key accounts.
  • Drive formulary and pathway access at provider facilities.
  • Engage C and D suite professionals and deeply understand account needs.
  • Build and maintain connections with key accounts to facilitate referral and infrastructure development.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes in rare disease.
  • Lead efforts to educate and train provider staff on new treatment protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Robust network development abilities.
  • Broad understanding of health system business and decision making processes.
  • Evidence of strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Candidates must live within 500 miles from Bruceville, TX 76630.
