Job Requirements / Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster customer relationships in a team-based selling model
  • Manage deliveries and troubleshoot problems during the order process
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary
  • Develop new business and identify prospective customers
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products
  • Drive to customers and prospects to ensure product delivery

SUPERVISION: No direct reports.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact
  • External: Customers, vendors, prospective customers

WORK ENVIRONMENT Frequently outside the office environment working in the field visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Team player with exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office products

EDUCATION HS Diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING N/A

LICENSES Valid driver's license required & motor vehicle record must be in good standing

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to perform a range of physical activities
  • Job requires worker to stand, walk, drive vehicles, sit, lift, carry, grasp objects, and manipulate objects with varying frequency
