SCOPE OF POSITION:

Directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). This position is responsible for our Acuna, Mexico plant operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals.
  • Supports the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations.
  • May lead labor relations negotiations and engage with union leadership involving plant operations.
  • Oversees multi-functional plant teams including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10 years’ experience in leading manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with ERP Systems, Quality Management, Production Planning, Plant Lifecycle Management, P&L Financial Performance Management.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to independently troubleshoot all production machinery and equipment, and continuously evaluate for improvement to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Solid knowledge of production processes and mechanical understanding.
  • Ability to read and understand rough or detailed sketches or notes, analyze, and interpret contract documents.
  • Results orientation - Drives to complete commitments for customers to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Strong organizational awareness and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of lean processes.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal departments, customers, representatives, contractors, and architects.
