JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Payroll Analyst processes payroll accurately for 3,000 active and retired employees. This position is responsible for running the entire multi-layered weekly payroll process (50+ system jobs to be run in specific order), submitting weekly ACH and other electronic file transfers to financial institutions, reporting and reconciliation of NHRS wage data, configuring and maintaining KRONOS and Lawson (INFOR) Human Capital Management (HCM) Systems, providing training to new employees on both systems, and other related duties. This is a full-time Unaffiliated position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and provides an excellent work life balance. The hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting; combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience
  • An understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements, State and Federal regulations, and IRS tax codes
  • Proficiency in the use of computers, printers, Excel and other software necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position
  • Telestaff and NHRS Pension Gold Software knowledge desirable
  • Lawson (INFOR) HCM, KRONOS Workforce Timekeeper, and Advance Scheduler experience preferred
  • Applicant must possess excellent customer service skills
