Lead Software Engineer

Irvine – Onsite.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the team to strategize, develop, and implement cutting-edge ground systems crucial for their space missions. Your innovative solutions will shape the reliability and efficiency of our operations, driving the company forward as we expand in both scale and complexity.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to ground software teams.
  • Take ownership of all facets of software engineering and product development.
  • Engage directly with users to understand their challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Contribute actively to team discussions, offering insights on architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Develop new applications to enhance Toperational capabilities.
  • Collaborate with subsystem teams and external clients to enhance software tools and data products continually.
  • Design, build, integrate, test, and deploy large-scale ground software and mission control systems, including operator GUIs and automation tools.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in full-stack development.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design, develop, and test software solutions from scratch.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Proficient in Golang
  • Experience in designing and implementing microservices.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Docker.
  • Knowledge of AWS.
  • Experience using Jira or similar defect-tracking software.
  • Track record of successfully delivering complex systems to clients.
