Location : Kittery, Maine

Duties:

  • You will prepare and evaluate installation energy metrics and conduct briefings to a wide range of people and diverse audiences.
  • You will develop and oversee the Building Energy Monitor program, including providing training and guidance.
  • You will coordinate training for design professionals, maintenance personnel, and installation personnel on energy technology and efficient operations.
  • You will recommend funding strategies and bundling of projects for execution, and collaborates with others to develop acquisition strategy.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

Qualifications:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • The incumbent serves as the Installation Energy Manager (IEM) and ensures development and execution of a comprehensive energy program overseeing complex engineering solutions to energy conservation, renewable energy and energy requirements.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using a thorough knowledge of energy mandates, programs and processes to develop and implement an installation Energy and Water Plan and other energy policies and directives.
  • Conducting energy audits for project development.
  • Developing metrics and evaluation criteria to measure program effectiveness.
