$29.00 - $32.00 / Hour, depending on experience. Monday - Friday

What We Are Looking For:

SUMMARY:

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of all designated accounts. This includes receiving, verifying, and processing invoices promptly, while collaborating with department managers to ensure proper billing and payment procedures are followed. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk will oversee daily cash reconciliations, manage the hotel's house bank, and handle petty cash disbursements according to established procedures. They will also prepare and distribute accurate daily revenue reports.

The Accounting Clerk is expected to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests. They will embody the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa culture and uphold the hotel’s core values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability, and Passion for Service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage all correspondence related to designated companies

• Accurately enter invoices daily, ensuring timely processing for vendor payments

• Key invoices for vendor checks and obtain required signatures for approval

• Prepare and execute the weekly check run, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement

• Maintain up-to-date vendor statements across all companies, with a focus on resolving 90-day past-due invoices

• Ensure monthly expenses are either processed or accrued appropriately

• Handle daily cash reconciliation and prepare the daily deposit

• Review and reconcile all revenue from various hotel departments, including rooms, food and beverage, and the spa

• Compare daily reports from the property management system (PMS), point of sale (POS), and other systems with bank deposits and credit card receipts

• Ensure that recorded revenues are accurate, complete, and correctly allocated

• Verify the accuracy of night audit reports, ensuring all transactions are posted on the correct date

• Audit room revenue postings, rate variances, and occupancy reports to confirm the integrity of daily sales

• Consistently report to work on time, adhering to the posted schedule, and maintain accurate time records

• Attend relevant department, resort, and divisional meetings as required

• Maintain a professional appearance in alignment with the Woodmark Hotel dress code standards

• Remain attentive, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times

• Perform other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
  • At least one-year high volume accounts payable experience required
  • At least two years customer service experience preferred

  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a desk working on a computer.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
