BCGuardian is a boutique brand and content protection consultancy devoted to achieving impactful intellectual property (IP) protection for our clients through the development and implementation of bespoke solutions. Founded in 2016 by IP industry veterans to lead early-stage research and case building for high-profile IP enforcement initiatives, the team at BCGuardian has supported the content protection objectives of several of the most venerable names in content for nearly a decade.
We are seeking a Data Solutions Engineer to join our growing team. The Data Solutions Engineer will support new product development generally and will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining end to end data pipelines across BCGuardian’s portfolio of programs for rights owners in the music and publishing industries.
This full-time hybrid position is based in our Washington, DC offices, with the opportunity for up to 60% remote work.
Job Duties
- Improve, develop, and maintain multiple sets of critical data collection and analytical pipelines to improve efficiency of analysis, and services rendered.
- Innovate and continuously improve BCGuardian’s collection and mining capabilities with a focus on leveraging new approaches, reducing cost, and broad optimization.
- Assist, at the direction of Director of AI & Product, in the development, deployment, and maintenance of custom collection and analysis solutions, products, data mining, and other efforts as directed.
- Serve as technical point of contact to employees to improve their technical capabilities and literacy.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience independently and creatively solving and developing technical solutions for difficult problem sets.
- Experience developing and deploying technical solutions in Python, Java, and other programming languages.
- Experience with cloud computing software (EC2s, S3, etc.) and with data mining and open-source collection techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with Streamlit, React JS, Docker, and other front-end programming languages, and deployment software tools, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing timelines, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with non-technical employees.
