About the role
- Our Cincinnati team, composed of 45 people, is integrated in the SpecialChem global business unit and focuses on the production and delivery of quality products in collaboration with our Solvay support teams and General Business Unit executive leadership.
- As the Plant Manager of our Cincinnati facility, you will provide leadership, direction, and support to the SpecialChem manufacturing team to enable the facility to be a safe place to work, operationally successful, profitable in its market, a leader in its technology and world class in its methods. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the strong SpecialChem business and have a positive impact on the site's operations.
- You will be accountable to:
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations including safety systems, finance, manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, human resources and information systems for all functions on-site.
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of products and services to clients.
- Develop and implement site policies and procedures, determine work force requirements, and monitor production to ensure customer requirements are met.
- We offer an onsite, full time position.
About you
- Relevant education degree or equivalent in chemical or mechanical engineering.
- Relevant work experience in the chemical industry.
- Basic understanding of business practices, forecasting, and P&L’s.
- Understanding of labor relations to enable successful interaction and negotiation with the union.
- Proven ability to implement manufacturing excellence to continually improve operations and safety and to plan and accomplish goals, and manage the complexity of the site and or events that occur.
- Behaviors:
- Organizational leadership skills to enable progression planning and subordinate development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate global reporting and presentation requirements.
About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the United States base pay reasonably expected for this role is $133,000 to $167,000 , your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
