Hamilton Mayer International is partnered with one of the leading construction companies in the US. They continuously rank well on the annual ENR listings and have a tremendous reputation in the industry for their attention to detail. The organization is currently seeking a Senior Estimator to be located at their offices in Naples, FL with the intention of progressing into a Senior Preconstruction Manager role in the next 2-3 years.

Responsibilities:

1. Quantify project components and price estimates accordingly.
2. Visit project sites to understand conditions/restrictions and implement self-perform policies and procedures if needed.
3. Work with the estimating/project teams utilizing HCSS or other estimating software to build the project estimate in accordance with company objectives.
4. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers about prospective work to obtain detailed project cost forecasts to be shared with senior leadership.
5. Provide preliminary project schedules based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing Primavera P6 or similar software.
6. Work with the team to close the estimate and provide the best cost base to clients.
7. Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build, or general tender work.
8. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates.
9. Carry out job duties while maintaining the inner core values of the business.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5-8 years of estimating experience, including change orders negotiation, field cost tracking, schedules, and project cost to complete reporting.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is ideal but not essential.
3. Minimum 5-8 years working in a general contracting environment responsible for bidding on large commercial projects across Healthcare, High-Rise, Higher Education, Federal, and Mission Critical sectors.
4. Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to work well within a team.
