BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position resides in the Bureau of Policy and Management and supports the agency's Finance team, for administration and financial support. The position requires an adept knowledge of contemporary office practices and equipment to perform diverse finance workflow functions. This person will be required to use independent judgement and initiative to make determinations on a variety of issues.
Typical duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting intake process at DMR Finance via coding, scanning, data entry, reviewing bureau expense reports and coordinating with bureaus.
  • Contributing to DMR Finance in-office workflow in processing hardcopy documents and supporting DMR storehouse.
  • Providing daily support in DMR's centralized intake inbox.
  • Backing up key functions in the DMR Finance team and providing feedback on process.
  • Supporting centralized content management on SharePoint, internal drives and DMR intranet.
  • Opportunity for learning finance functions and building skills as interested.
  • Building and strengthening connections with bureau staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a proficient knowledge of modern office practices to perform advanced administrative support tasks requiring specialized skills, and 2) the ability to use independent judgment, initiative, and discretion to make determinations on varied matters. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, Office Associate I and Office Associate II.
Preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
