DescriptionJob SummaryUnder limited direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to function as the primary business development advocate for ClariVest Asset Management. This will entail serving as a liaison between ClariVest and various departments at RJIM, acting as a subject-matter expert on their products, investment process, market views, and portfolio positioning, serving all applicable constituents downstream in this regard. Works independently on difficult assignments that are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed decisions or recommendations. Extensive contact is required with internal and external clients, as well as senior management, to identify, research, and resolve issues and provide comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. Ideally this position will be based in San Diego, CA.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesActs as a primary external contact for all levels (low to premier tier) of clients, researching and answering requests and questionsProactively works across distribution channels and independently to develop new business opportunitiesDevelops narratives product positioning bullet points for marketing and/or salesAssists in the creation of presentations, reports, and databases as neededCoordinates the involvement of the investment team, as needed, to meeting requestsParticipates in broad initiatives related to overall strategy, product positioning, and marketing campaignsAssists client service with reportingMaintains familiarity with peers in each product category, contrasting different investment approaches, portfolio biases, and historical return patternsPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:RJ and RJIM working structure, policies, mission, and strategiesFundamental concepts, principles, and practices used in the securities industryFundamental concepts, principles, and practices of relationship managementFinancial markets and products, specifically fixed incomeFundamental understanding of return attribution analysisSkill inInterpreting and applying policies and proceduresPreparing management reportsIdentifying trends and implementing appropriate corrective actionOperating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.Ability toCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels including senior managementOrganize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptionsBalance conflicting resource and priority demandsPartner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesWork independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentEstablish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organizationEducational/Previous Experience RequirementsEducation/Previous ExperienceBachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the financial services industryORAny equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses/CertificationsChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferable or ability to obtain within three years of hireSeries 7 license (current or ability to obtain within three months of hire)TravelTravel Required:Domestic travel required, up to 50% of the timeJob: Investment ManagementPrimary Location: US-CA-San DiegoOther Locations: US-FL-St. Petersburg-Saint PetersburgOrganization Raymond James Investment ManagementSchedule Full-timeJob Shift Day JobTravel Yes, 50 % of the TimeReq ID: 2403044
