The Mechanic Manager oversees the Ride Maintenance department including, but not limited to: capital programs, repair and maintenance, preventative maintenance, service calls, training, scheduling of work, and adherence to all safety, park, and departmental policies.

We are currently looking for a:

Castle Park - Mechanic Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000

  • Support the Director of Maintenance in their role
  • Inspect rides, attractions, water slides, pump rooms, mechanical equipment, etc. for the purpose of ensuring suitability for safe operations, maintained in an attractive and clean condition, and/or identifying necessary repairs
  • Maintain water features and attractions, including proper chemistry for the purpose of complying with mandated safety and health requirements
  • Evaluate equipment functions for the purpose of maintaining facilities and/or complying with mandated health requirements
  • Ensure all employees have been adequately trained to safely and effectively perform their work and document all training as it occurs
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety including ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly documentation is being completed
  • Responsible for meeting budget restrictions on and the timely completion of "New Construction" projects and R&M Capital expenditures
  • Perform frequent daily site inspections of ongoing work and review of upcoming work. Check park areas frequently for any needed repairs and maintenance
  • Prioritize work order requests and distribute to team members
  • Oversee Supervisor(s) and ensure that work is scheduled appropriately. Assist in solving scheduling and task completion problems.
  • Actively participate with the process of identifying, finding, ordering, and storing parts and supplies
  • Review daily schedule, priorities, and estimates for ongoing and future projects with Director of Maintenance on a regular basis
  • Communicate with other department staff members who have interest in or may be affected by the work
  • Work with government agencies as needed to facilitate inspections
  • Interview, select and assist with hiring new mechanics
  • Provide a work environment that demonstrates leadership, cooperation, policy enforcement, safety, communication, and motivation
  • Work on a rotational basis as a Manager of the day for the park
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as requested
  • Comply and enforce all park policies, procedures, and labor laws

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. BA/BS Degree preferred.

Languages: Fluent English. Bilingual skills are helpful.

  • Computer Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Experience:

  • Must possess five years prior supervisory experience in a related field
  • Prefer prior experience with amusement park rides and commercial swimming pools

Other:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sun with no shade, cold, rain, dust, and all other outdoor weather elements
  • Must possess the physical capabilities necessary to perform the job duties
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, stoop, and bend
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Must possess a working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations
  • Must hold, or be able to acquire a CPO Certification within 90 days of employment
  • Must be able to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Must have an understanding of PLCs, electronic configurations, and troubleshooting.
