Summary:
We’re hiring an exceptional, high performing Legal Assistant to support our growing law firm. We are a boutique civil litigation law firm; we value quality over quantity. We need someone who can be in charge of our calendar and deadlines, understands the importance of our deadlines, make sure our attorneys stay on top of their deadlines, organize and process discovery work, e-file court pleadings, as well as occasionally direct calls and speak to clients.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and a leader. You can anticipate next steps and are able to give and receive feedback. You are responsive, a problem solver, high performing, efficient, and trustworthy. You should have experience doing and organizing discovery work in a law firm, with a firm grasp on how to draft and answer written interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare drafts of legal documents, such as discovery responses
  • E-filing in State and Federal Court
  • Proofread court filings and other documents
  • Management of calendar and court filings
  • Handle communication with clients
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage unexpected shifts in priorities and needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent handle of Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent handle of Google applications (e.g., Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Voice, Google Meets, etc.)


Education & Experience:

  • Minimum four (4) years experience required
  • Experience in litigation preferred
