Travel Nurse RN - PCU in Boston, MA

Weekly Pay Range - $2190 To $2433

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 1 year IMCU experience. At least 2 years of medical-surgical and telemetry experience. Experience in neuro care, myocardial infarctions, and tracheostomy care is required.
**License:** Registered Nurse License
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
**Must-Have:** Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and pass telemetry test with 85% or better. Experience with automated medication dispensing systems.
**Job Description:**
- Flexibility required for 12-hour shift rotations with hours from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Every other weekend and holiday rotations are mandatory.
- Provide care for a mixed unit of IMCU/neurology/med-surgical patients.
- Manage a high number of IMCU patients in a 27-bed unit with a concentration on neuro, medicine, and cardiology cases.
- Care responsibilities include patients with chronic ventilators, tracheostomies, and high acuity heart failure.
- Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:3 for IMCU and 1:4 to 1:5 for medical-surgical level care.
- Engage in quality patient care with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with a healthcare team to deliver superior patient outcomes.
