Solutions Architect - Financial Industry Required

We are seeking a Solutions Architect with a strong background in application architecture and experience in business process modeling to join our team. This role will focus on the Client Journey Project for a leading Fortune 500 investment firm. As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in architecting end-to-end solutions in a complex AWS environment , ensuring seamless integration across various systems and processes to enhance client experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect and design end-to-end application solutions that align with business needs, focusing on optimizing the client journey.
• Leverage your solutions architecture expertise to identify and resolve architectural challenges, ensuring scalability, security, and performance in an AWS environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders, to model and improve business processes .
• Create detailed architectural documentation, including technical specifications and system integration requirements.
• Evaluate existing applications, services, and technologies to propose and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead and support AWS cloud architecture design, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and other AWS services.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, including security, governance, and architecture best practices.
• Act as a subject matter expert in application architecture vs. infrastructure architecture , offering guidance and recommendations to drive business value.
• Participate in agile teams and contribute to continuous delivery and improvement efforts within the firm.
• Travel occasionally to Owings Mills, MD , as needed, for key meetings or project updates. Open to fully remote for the right individual.

Qualifications :

• 10+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on application architecture over infrastructure.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect , with expertise in designing and implementing scalable applications in an AWS cloud environment.
• Strong experience in business process modeling and ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work on projects related to client experience and digital transformation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
• Familiarity with modern design patterns and practices, including microservices architecture .
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setup while collaborating effectively with remote teams.

Salary Target - $180,000-$210,000
