Our growing law firm is looking to hire a FLORIDA family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now!

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed.
  2. Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases.
  3. Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, and then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action.
  4. Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process.
  5. Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required.
  2. Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants.
  3. Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required.
  4. Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred.
  5. Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.
  6. At least 3+ years of family law litigation experience.
  7. Member of the FLORIDA BAR.
  8. Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration.
  9. Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision.

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000+ DOE
