How you'll make an impact:
As a Data Analyst on the Data Science team, you will have the opportunity to work with many of the nation's leading healthcare providers in utilizing their financial, operational, and clinical data to drive their mission of providing world-class care while improving financial health. Your work will bring new insights to individual clients, client collaboratives and the industry. Responsibilities include:
- Applying data mining techniques and statistical analysis to healthcare and financial data across our customer base
- Extracting, cleansing, and validating the data used for analyses
- Meeting with clients and other Strata team members to answer their questions about the data or analytics
- Providing quality assurance on our data products and working with data science team to correct errors
- Develop new insights and analytics in support of our internal and external customers
- Working within the data science team to enhance our data products
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clean, clear and actionable manner
- Developing and maintaining automated processes and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency with handling data
What we're looking for:
- 2-4 years relevant experience in healthcare analytics or healthcare finance, including presentation of data and information to mid-level leaders
- Strong communication, presentation and writing skills
- Knowledge of or desire to learn statistics, machine learning concepts and data visualization
- Experience working with large, complex data sets
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with data scientists and other data-oriented professionals
- Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and problem solving
- Self-starter with strong accountability and project management for tasks
- Exposure to or desire to learn business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Exposure to or desire to learn database tools including SQL Server Management Studio or Snowflake
- Ability to travel up to 10%
How we work:
The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities. For a candidate who is a solid match for the skill set needed to be successful, we will support a fully remote work environment anywhere in the U.S. All team members, including those local to a campus have the flexibility to work from home.
