Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated associate to join their Corporate M&A practice in Kansas City . This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate attorney with strong transactional experience to join a dynamic team and contribute to complex commercial transactions.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
- At least 4 years of substantive experience in corporate and transactional law , with a focus on M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance , and other complex commercial transactions .
- Prior experience in drafting and negotiating transactional documents, with superb writing, drafting, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented, ambitious, and driven to help grow and support the firm’s national M&A practice.
- Law firm experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate transactional documents related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions.
- Work directly with clients, providing counsel on corporate governance and complex commercial transactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, contributing to the firm’s national practice.
- Manage corporate transactions from initial structuring through closing.
