By 2030, every Baby Boomer (20% of Americans) will be 65 or older and the expected demand for senior living solutions will break our infrastructure’s capacity. Over $200B is spent each year in nursing homes yet 65% operate at a loss, and more than half are forced to deny entry and care because of staffing shortages and workflow inefficiencies.

Nursing homes are the hardest operational challenge in healthcare, but also the most strategic. They sit at the center between hospitals and homecare and make up the largest burden of medical spend in our system.

That’s why at Brea, we’re rethinking senior care. We’re focused on building the next frontier of AI-first operating systems for healthcare, starting with nursing homes. Our mission is to give clinicians the tools they need to provide our seniors with a more dignified experience in their twilight years.

About the role:

We're bringing on a Head of Operations at Brea to drive our growth and scale. This role is both strategic and hands-on. You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to design and improve our overall operations. Your job is to build the systems and processes that make us more effective and efficient as we grow. We need someone analytical and organized, who can turn complex problems into practical solutions. What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with leadership on execution of company's strategic initiatives; OKR planning, leadership meetings, development and implementation of plans and policies.
  • You’ll work on facilitating repeatable and consistent product delivery, track OKRs and KPIs, establish accountability and company rhythms that enable everyone to do their best work.
  • You’ll be leading the efforts on product deployment, implementation, customer onboarding and making sure we have the right operating model.
  • You’ll be a key contributor to building fundraising decks and board materials.

Who you are:

  • 8-10+ years of work experience, in a fast growth technology company. Preferably in health tech.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, proactive with bias towards action. Organized and strategic, able to drive execution.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, building alignment and driving operational improvements.
  • Strategic mind, who can also execute on a high level, as a startup environment demands.
  • Great communicator, thoughtful and able to build trust, influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Pay transparency: The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $300,000 USD. The listed range is a guideline from Pave data, and the actual base salary may be modified based on factors including job-related skills, location, experience/qualifications, interview performance, market data, etc. Total compensation for this position may also include equity, ranging from 0.4%-1.5%; and employee benefits. Given our funding and size, we heavily value the potential upside from equity in our compensation package.

Please note: We’re looking for team members to join our in-person culture in one of our beautiful offices in Hudson Yards, NYC or Miami, Fl. Our ideal schedule is working 4 days a week in the office and 1 day remote.
