System Administrator

This is Contract on W2 Position.

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with expertise in Data Center Consolidation, VMware and server virtualization and decommissioning efforts at our client’s site. This role will primarily focus on reducing the hardware footprint of the data center by migrating physical servers to virtual environments and consolidating existing virtual machines (VMs). L2 Wintel+ VMware engineer 7-10 years of experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with IT infrastructure consolidation, server migrations (P2V), and VMware environments.
• Strong knowledge of both physical and virtual server environments, particularly Windows servers.
• Hands-on experience with server decommissioning and consolidation processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server migrations.
• Knowledge of best practices in IT automation and infrastructure optimization.
• Good to have:
• Familiarity with healthcare industry applications and legacy systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Linux server knowledge.
