Located on a landmark corner of the West Village, a block away from the Hudson Promenade, Wallsé opened its doors in July 2000. From the name, to food and décor, every detail of Kurt Gutenbrunner’s first NYC restaurant reflects and embodies his culinary history and vision. Wallsé’s harmony of elegance, simplicity and lightness won the restaurant two stars from the New York Times only two months after opening and a coveted Michelin star in 2006.
Our hosts and hostesses are the first and last encounter for our member and guest experience at Wallsé. They have the enviable task of setting the tone for the exciting experience ahead with a warm, knowledgeable and enthusiastic welcome.
QUALIFICATION:
- Responsibility of setting the stage for exceptional accommodation and organization for the restaurant through telephone service, greeting, seating and setting the pace doe each service.
- Experience, preferably in NYC fine dining establishment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and a team player.
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow with the company.
- Keep host area neat, clean and organized,
- Assign guests to tables while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of guests.
- Answer phone calls, gather information, answer questions with grace and patience.
- Check and keep the menus organized and clean.
- Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a professional image.
