Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney with healthcare contract management expertise to join our legal department. This role is based out of our home office and involves close collaboration with various departments to review, draft, and negotiate contracts, ensure operational compliance, and provide general legal support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare law with experience in skilled nursing and a passion for driving positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate healthcare and other commercial contracts.
  • Work effectively with skilled nursing operators to achieve successful contract negotiations.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities as needed.
  • Support litigation management as required.
  • Identify and assess legal and business risks to the company.
  • Provide assistance to the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.
  • Manage and oversee outside counsel as necessary.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree with at least four (4) years of relevant work experience as an attorney.
  • Must have a practicing law license and be in good standing within the jurisdiction(s) where licensed.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to home office in Eagle, ID regularly and facility locations as needed.
  • Previous healthcare law experience preferred but not required. Candidates who have served as counsel to skilled nursing operators are strongly encouraged to apply.
