Senior Supply Chain Manager, Just Walk Out Technology

AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.
"Just Walk Out" (JWO) is a new and innovative service at stores across stadiums, airports, convenience, and more! Just Walk Out technology allows shoppers to enter a store, grab whatever they want, and quickly get back to their day, without having to wait in a checkout line or stop at a cashier. Customers enter or exit the store with a payment method, bypassing a checkout-line. The technology uses camera vision and sensor fusion, or RFID technology which allows them to simply walk away with their items. By removing the checkout, retailers can increase merchandising space, move more customers through the store, and provide a frictionless shopping experience.
We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our JWO Supply Chain organization. JWO Supply Chain is a part of our larger JWO Supply Chain, Operations, & Technology (SCOT) organization. JWO Supply Chain is responsible for the operational fulfillment of planned site launch demand and unplanned demand for break-fix technical equipment. Our scope includes demand planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
This role will be responsible for demand planning for a suite of products across JWO. A successful candidate has 1) analytical skills and ability to develop business cases to lead trade/off decisions 2) ability to clearly communicate data insights to senior leaders, 3) experience developing demand plans, and 4) Python skills in order to automate and improve the Python based demand model.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders across supply chain, hardware operations, finance, product and technical teams to generate short and long term demand forecasts across multiple product portfolios
- Implement continuous improvements in order to automate processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation
- Partner with the Business Intelligence Engineering team to develop health metric dashboards
- Proactively address supply chain risks in support of upcoming JWO store launches

- Improve accuracy of inputs and outputs for more efficient demand/supply matching
A day in the life
In this role, you will be responsible for providing JWO stakeholders current short and long-term demand planning information. Your work’s output is the focal point for peers to use to drive manufacturing, procurement, warehouse capacity and store launch capabilities. You will earn trust by ensuring the published demand forecast is representative of the business plan. You will build processes and drive enhancements for our demand planning group. As a leader, you will work independently to identify, document and communicate solutions that improve our processes . You will foster an environment of continuous improvement and influence others in an ambiguous environment. If you're excited to make important decisions and lead autonomously, this is the position for you.
