Primary Purpose:
Assists with the daily logistical management and movement of technology-related hardware within the district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/Degree(s): High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with all appropriate endorsements, and all other required licenses, permits, and certificates (paid training available to trainee without a CDL.) Completion required within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the Texas Department of Public Safety that reflects a professional driver and which meets all contractual, local, state and federal requirements.
  • Current forklift experience and/or the ability to get forklift certified (within 6 months from date of hire) and the ability to utilize manual pallet jack to move pallets up to 500 pounds.
  • Professional experience: Two (2) years' experience in delivery and logistics
  • Experience in the education industry, preferred
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of asset tracking systems
  • Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
  • Ability to manage complex projects
  • Ability to be trained for repairs on small equipment as time allows
  • Ability to stand and work on concrete floors throughout a normal workday
  • Critical thinker with strong organizational, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to speak, read and understand the English language and perform counting and mathematical skills
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties. Must be able to lift 50-pound cartons, containers, and other pieces of equipment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
250 days
SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$50,798 / TC3
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Completes service pick up and deliveries for the Assets Management Department and between District buildings. This involves disconnecting equipment, movement of equipment, setting up equipment at the destination site and testing minimal functionality of the equipment that was set up
  • Schedules routine operating maintenance of the assigned CFISD vehicle to maintain a safe and operable condition.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
  • Keep interior of vehicle clean/neat and maintain appropriate level of fuel.
  • Immediately report involvement in any collision, incident or job-related injury before the completion of your assigned shift through prescribed guidelines and procedures.
  • Immediately report mechanical problems, damage to vehicle (interior and exterior) and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections through prescribed guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist the asset management team in performing hardware inventories and asset recycling.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Lifting: Repetitive lifting and carrying (50 pounds)
