At Hudson Pacific Properties, we provide best-in-class office space to the biggest names in tech and media (Netflix & Amazon), and we're seeking a Payroll Administrator for our Corporate office in Los Angeles, CA. The position will support the Payroll team with processing union and non-union payroll following Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, and federal, state and local laws. Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data in the company’s Payroll system as well as various administrative activities related to Payroll. What You'll Do:

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the preparation, processing, and distribution of accurate and timely paychecks to weekly and bi-weekly union and non-union employees across multiple unions and states within the US while ensuring compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements, SOX controls, and federal, state, and local regulations. This position plays a crucial role and requires a strong attention to detail and extensive union payroll knowledge including wage scales, prevailing wage, Davis Bacon Act, union pension reporting, garnishments, and various other tax laws.

  1. Process payroll for weekly and bi-weekly payroll groups inclusive of Collective Bargaining Agreements Contracts.
  2. Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plan contribution calculations and reporting.
  3. Serve as main point of contact for all employees and respond to payroll inquiries related to interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations including Collective Bargaining Agreement Contracts.
  4. Understanding/experience paying prevailing wages.
  5. Calculate and maintain union dues.
  6. Calculate meal penalties according to state laws and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  7. Prepare, calculate and print manual checks.
  8. Prepare ad hoc custom reports upon request.
  9. Ensure timely quarterly and annual filing and distribution of employee W-2’s, 1099’s, 940’s, 941’s, etc.
  10. Handle all internal and external audit requests related to payroll.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Human Resources, or related field required or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant Payroll experience in a complex and rapidly changing multi-state, multi-entity organization, with at least four of those years in a union payroll environment with multiple Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, able to produce Vlookup, If/Then formulas, and Pivot Tables.
  • Strong multi-level relationship-building skills to effectively interact with union business agents, leadership and employees.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle heavy workflow and manage competing priorities while staying focused and meeting time-sensitive deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to interact well with all levels of corporation.
  • Strong work ethic demonstrating accountability, integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range:

$40.00 - $47.00 USD (subject to relevant experience)
