Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: New York
Department: Information Security
Reports To: CISO

Job Summary:
Join our security team to maintain and administer solutions that enhance security. Collaborate with IT to implement internal and cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test security tools while staying current on security threats and best practices.
  • Manage firewalls and rule bases to protect network integrity.
  • Collaborate with IT on secure solution design (AWS, Azure) and oversee security monitoring systems for rapid threat response.
  • Participate in incident response and remediation efforts.
  • Manage user authentication and maintain encryption certificates.
  • Oversee B2B connections and web proxy policies & maintain project and network design documentation.
  • Strong network security and cloud security fundamentals and protocols.
  • Server and hardware/software knowledge - including LAN/WAN systems and technologies.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting (VPN, IDP, Proxy).
  • Experience with network diagnostic tools and operating systems (Windows, Linux), proficiency in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with proven effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years in a security engineering role.
  • Experience with firewall configuration in enterprise environments.
  • Proven scripting skills in security tasks.
  • Scripting for automation (Python, Ansible, Bash).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Industry-recognized security certifications preferred (CISSP, CCSP)
